How To Pack For a Year in South East Asia
Packing can be overwhelming! Here's my packing list and some general travel packing tips.
This list is tailored to Malaysia specifically, where I will be teaching English for the next year. Stay tuned for a post in about a month of all the things I ended up not needing!
Travel Necessities
Passport and Visa: you can easily apply for a 90 day tourist visa upon arrival to Malaysia
Flight itinerary or boarding pass if you can print ahead, it will give you extra wiggle room in your airport time!
International Driving Permit if you'll be renting a car, you can get one of these for $20 at a travel AAA office
Unlocked Cellphone or international phone plan
Travel Adapter (this one is universal)
Extra Charging Cords and Wall Adapters

Go Pro or other Camera though all the photos on this blog so far were taken on an iPhone, so to each his own!
